WPPI Trip – Heading out and about!
I am currently over at WPPI in Las Vegas and of course we felt the need to go for a drive and take some pictures of this fantastic landscape.
All in all it has been a great few days with some amazing shots done. I shot a wedding video two days ago in HD with the Nikon 3100 that they kindly loaned me.
I hope to do a little more people and street photography in the next few days…so keep posted.
This one is at Valley of Fires in Nevada
17 Image stich with minimal tonal corrections.
We got there at 4.00am and waited till the sun came up. The light was perfect.
Yes this is the real colour!!!

This was just some sandstone markings on the rocks.
I loved the tonal range and colour.

This is a single capture of the same valley.
I have desaturated the colours and vignetted it a little.

This is where we were parked while we shot the Valley of Fires.
I love how the red rocks flank the road and you can just see the road curve away as indicated by the sign.
This one was overly saturated and the sky darkened to bring the eye back to the road.

This is actually how the road is. I made Tony screech to holt while I stuck my head out of the window.
I have a series of these shots which rock!
All the redness in the rocks made it quite a challenge to make it into a monotone.
This was also taken at the Valley of Fires.

This was on the way out of the National park. The detail in this is absolutely astonishing.
I have duo-toned it with blues in the shadows and brown in the highlights to mids.
…yes the sky was like that…freaky!!!

This is a realy freaky building…it is a medical centre!
I went with Tony and Nathan to this building which is next to the brands outlets shopping in Las Vegas.
This was the only frame I got because I didn’t see any other great angle believe it or not.
I love it lots!!!

This was the building next to the weird curved building.
I loved the play of light on the building. I has had very little work done in Photoshop. I even shot it straight which is a rarity for me!
